Login to EMIS online HERE

If you are not registered for EMIS online, you can do so HERE

  • By Phone

Telephone 706640 between 9am and 1pm.  To ensure that we can process your request as smoothly as possible, please have your medication list or your empty medication packets to hand.

  • By Post / At the Desk

There is a printed list down the right side of you prescription of all your repeat medication.  Just tick the items you wish to order and hand it in at the reception desk or post it to us.

Important Information to Remember When Ordering Repeat Medication

48 Hour Turnaround

  • We suggest you order your repeat prescription WELL IN ADVANCE.
  • Please allow 2 working days to process your request into a prescription at your chosen collection point.  This means that if you submit a request on a Friday you can reasonably expect to be able to collect your prescription by Tuesday evening.
  • Allowing 48 hours to produce a prescription provides adequate time for us to conduct appropriate safety checks on the request, generate a prescription, have it signed and transfer it to your indicated collection point.  We handle hundreds of prescriptions a day.  Last minute requests or ‘urgent’ demands put pressure on an already busy system, potentially putting your safety or that of other patients’ at risk.  As a result we make no guarantees to produce a prescription in less than 48 hours and any such requests are handled entirely at the Duty Doctors’ discretion.

A minimum of 48 hours notice (2 working days) is required to process your request and for your prescription to be ready for collection at the surgery or by your pharmacist of choice*

Other medication requests e.g. Special Request (items not on your Repeat Medication list) may take longer.

If you are at risk of running out, please tell the receptionist who will make every effort to process your prescription urgently.

Please also check that the details on your prescription are correct when you collect it from the surgery.

* K J MacDonald Chemist, Boots and Back Pharmacies, have a collection service for Repeat Prescriptions.  If you would like to use this service please ensure you inform the pharmacy of your choice that you wish them to collect your prescription.
